The ce binary

Install

Release v0.2.1 publishes four archives. Each archive contains one executable named ce. Windows binaries and a Homebrew formula are not published.

Newer tags, when they exist, are listed on the releases page. This page documents v0.2.1.

Published archives for v0.2.1
System Archive
macOS, Apple siliconce-macos-aarch64.tar.gz
macOS, Intelce-macos-x86_64.tar.gz
Linux, x86_64ce-linux-x86_64.tar.gz
Linux, aarch64ce-linux-aarch64.tar.gz

Check the download

Download SHA256SUMS beside the archive, then check the file you fetched. On macOS:

grep ce-macos-aarch64.tar.gz SHA256SUMS | shasum -a 256 -c -
tar -xzf ce-macos-aarch64.tar.gz
chmod 755 ce

On Linux, use sha256sum -c with the matching line. The checksum file also lists SBOMs and the image digest. You only need the line for the archive you downloaded.

Container image

The scanned image for this release is ghcr.io/zloeber/complexity-eater:v0.2.1. The published digest file records:

sha256:e762a4440851acecf389587d4750b2e236e6e4365329dac4434f31bb22bfcb92 ghcr.io/zloeber/complexity-eater:v0.2.1

That line is copied from image-digest.txt on the release. The image runs as UID 65532 and binds loopback. Docker Desktop on macOS does not attach that listener to the Mac's loopback. On a Mac, run the binary directly. The container profile is in the container notes.

Build from source

The toolchain is Rust 1.99.0, pinned in rust-toolchain.toml. Supported development platforms are macOS and Linux.

task setup
